Bandhon is a matrimony site for Bangladeshi adults, and many of our members are Muslim men and women looking for a spouse who shares their faith. If you want Muslim matrimony in Bangladesh that feels dignified and private, this page explains how the search works here.
You might be searching for yourself, or your parents may be keen to help. Either way, the aim is the same: meet someone serious, with honest intentions, and take each step at a pace that feels right.
Searching within your faith
For most Muslim families, a shared faith is the starting point rather than one item on a list. On Bandhon you set your own religion and then decide how much it matters in a partner: required, preferred, or doesn't matter. Choose "required" and your suggestions stay within the Muslim community.
Faith is lived differently from home to home. Some people pray five times a day and hope for the same in a spouse; others are still growing in their practice. Your profile text is the place to say how religion shapes your daily life, so the right people recognise you quickly.
Family, intentions and conversation
Marriage in Bangladesh usually brings two families together, and that is often welcome. A parent or guardian can be linked to your account with your consent, so they can support the search without reading your messages or speaking for you.
When a conversation starts, it helps to talk early about the things that matter after the wedding: where you will live, work and study plans, how you see each other's families, and expectations around mahr. Our list of questions to ask before marriage is a good place to begin.
Muslim marriages in Bangladesh are registered by a Kazi. Our guide to marriage registration in Bangladesh gives the background, and a local Kazi can confirm current requirements.
How Bandhon keeps the search respectful
- Verified members. Everyone verifies with their NID and a short selfie video before sending an interest or a message. The face match runs on Bandhon's own servers.
- Mutual interest first. A conversation opens only when both people accept. No one can message you out of the blue.
- Your photos, your choice. You decide who sees your photos, and other members see only your display name, never your full name.
- No dowry. Bandhon opposes dowry (যৌতুক), which is illegal in Bangladesh.
Bandhon also shows why each profile is suggested, such as shared values, education or location, so you can see the reasoning behind a match rather than scrolling at random.

Common questions
Is Bandhon only for Muslims?
No. Bandhon is open to Bangladeshi adults of every faith. If you are Muslim and want to meet only Muslim partners, set your partner's religion to "required" in your preferences. Your suggestions will then come from Muslim members only, and you can still use the other filters, such as location and education, to narrow things further.
Can my parents help me find a Muslim bride or groom here?
Yes. With your consent, a parent or guardian can be linked to your account to help with the search. They cannot read your conversations or send interests and messages for you, so the decisions stay yours. Many families find this a comfortable balance between tradition and personal choice.
How do I know a profile is genuine?
Members verify with their NID and a selfie video before they can send interests or messages, and one NID can verify only one account. Verified members carry a badge, and their name and date of birth come from the NID. Blocking, reporting and human moderation by trained staff add further protection.
Is Bandhon free to use?
Yes. Joining and the core features are free, including creating a profile, verification, sending interests and chatting once interest is mutual. Optional Plus and Premium plans add more daily interests, sharper filters and deeper insights for people who want them.
