Hindu families in Bangladesh often begin a marriage search through relatives, neighbours and trusted family friends. Bandhon adds a private, verified option to that circle. This page is for anyone looking at Hindu matrimony in Bangladesh, whether you are searching yourself or helping a son or daughter.
Our members live in every division, from Dhaka and Chattogram to Khulna, Sylhet and Rangpur, and many Bangladeshi Hindus abroad search here too.
A shared faith, in your own words
When you build your profile, you set your religion and choose how important it is in a partner: required, preferred or doesn't matter. If you choose "required", Bandhon suggests only Hindu members.
What a shared faith means day to day differs between households. For some it is the daily puja at home, for others it is the festivals, Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, that bring the extended family together. Write a few honest lines about the traditions you keep and hope to keep after marriage. It saves both sides time.
Bandhon never asks you to filter by caste, skin colour or wealth. We think values, character and outlook are a fairer basis for a marriage, and our suggestions are built around them.
Bringing family into the search
Parents and elders are usually closely involved in Hindu marriages, and Bandhon makes room for that. With your consent, a parent or guardian can be linked to your account to help you search. They cannot read your conversations or send interests on your behalf, so you keep control of your own decisions.
Once there is mutual interest, take time to talk through practical matters: where the couple will live, careers, and how both families will be part of your lives. Our guide on searching with family has ideas for keeping everyone on the same page.
In Bangladesh, registering a Hindu marriage is available and optional under the Hindu Marriage Registration Act 2012. Many couples still choose to register for the legal record. The marriage registration guide explains more, and a registrar or lawyer can confirm the current process.
What Bandhon does for your safety and privacy
Every member verifies with their NID and a short selfie video before sending an interest or a message. Conversations open only when both people accept, so there are no unsolicited messages. Your full name stays private, and you choose who can see your photos. Profiles are visible only to signed-in members and never appear on Google.
Bandhon also stands firmly against dowry, which is illegal in Bangladesh under the Dowry Prohibition Act 2018.
When you are ready, join Bandhon for free and set up your profile in six short steps.
Common questions
Can I see only Hindu profiles on Bandhon?
Yes. In your partner preferences, set religion to "required" and choose Hindu. Bandhon will then suggest only Hindu members. If you are open to a wider search, choose "preferred" instead, and Hindu profiles will be given more weight without excluding everyone else. You can change this setting whenever you like.
Does Bandhon offer horoscope or kundli matching?
No. Bandhon does not offer horoscope or kundli matching. Suggestions are based on things like shared values, partner preferences, location and education, and Bandhon shows you why each profile was suggested. If your family wants to consult a horoscope, you can talk about it with the other person once a conversation has started.
Is Hindu marriage registration required in Bangladesh?
Under the Hindu Marriage Registration Act 2012, registration is available and optional. Many couples register because it gives them an official record that can help with travel, property and other paperwork. Rules can change, so check the current requirements with a marriage registrar or a lawyer before the wedding.
Can my parents create my profile for me?
The profile belongs to you, as the person getting married. A parent or guardian can be linked to your account with your consent to help with the search, but they cannot act for you or read your conversations. Verification also uses your own NID and selfie video.
